The Hydra operation takes place at our River base, located on the banks of the Kicking Horse River, 45 minutes west of Lake Louise and 1 hour and 20 minutes from Banff. Getting there is easy and the drive is filled with stunning views and wildlife sightings.

Directions from Calgary / Banff / Lake Louise:
Travel west on the Trans Canada Highway (Hwy #1) past Banff and past the Lake Louise turnoff. Keep on the highway and you will pass a town called Field, approx 20 minutes after Field you will see a sign reading "Leaving Yoho National Park" take the next left onto "Beaver Foot Road". Cross over railway tracks and then over a bridge. At the first intersection, turn right onto "Kicking Horse Rd". Our site is the first driveway on the right, past the cabins with the red roofs. Look for the Hydra sign.

THERE IS CONSTRUCTION AT BEAVER FOOT ROAD, SO PLEASE LOOK CAREFULLY FOR THE TURN OFF.

Directions from Golden:
Take Hwy #1 East. Pass through the town of Golden. We are located approximately 25 kms or 20 minutes from Golden. Look for a right hand turn called Beaver Foot Road. (A gravel road to your right). Turn right down Beaver Foot Road. Cross over railway tracks and then over a bridge. At the first intersection, turn right onto "Kicking Horse Rd". Our site is the first driveway on the right, past the cabins with the red roofs. Look for the Hydra sign.
